Variety.com is reporting that actor Chris Messina (“Julie & Julia”) has been tapped to star in “Devil” for Universal Pictures.<\/p>\n
Though no plot details have been released yet, Messina is set to play the lead role of the sobered-up former homicide detective named Bowden.<\/p>\n
The horror-thriller is based on an M. Night Shyamalan story, and will be directed by “Quarantine”‘s John Erick Dowdle and Drew Dowdle. Shyamalan and Sam Mercer are producing the film. Brian Nelson (“30 Days of Night”) wrote the script.<\/p>\n
Filming is scheduled to start in Toronto on October 26th. <\/p>\n
