Critics are saying Team Diddy<\/strong> has outdone itself once again with their latest assertion in federal court. Team Diddy<\/strong> is now claiming that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs<\/strong> had ‘diminished mental capacity’<\/strong>\u00a0during his drug use, as a defense to the crimes<\/strong> he is alleged to have committed. The 23 page filing<\/a> (Filing #276<\/strong>), was entered yesterday by the US Attorney<\/strong> in the Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs criminal case<\/strong> in SDNY, to preclude the testimony of an Dr. Elie Aoun,<\/strong> in support of the ‘mental capacity’ defense.<\/p>\n

The new so-called “insanity defense<\/strong>” has pundits asking whether Diddy is insane,<\/strong>\u00a0or his attorneys are<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The irrational defense ignores the diminished mental capacity of his victims<\/strong>, while they were drugged by Diddy and his associates<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Diminished Mental Capacity Defense<\/h2>\n

While the public has always known that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs<\/strong> wasn’t the brightest bulb in the room, his associate Shawn Corey Carter<\/strong>, also knows as Jay-Z,<\/strong> is constantly being referred to as the “smarter one,”<\/strong> and “more cunning.”<\/strong> The fact that Diddy is currently in jail and Jay-Z is not at the time of this writing, is often referred to as an injustice <\/strong>by pundits.<\/p>\n

Despite victim\u00a0<\/strong>assassin attorney<\/b>\u00a0Alex Spiro’s<\/strong> efforts to distance Jay-Z<\/strong> from Diddy<\/strong>, overwhelming public opinion still believes that the two are joined at the hip. Spiro’s deplorable attack<\/strong> on the ’13 year old’ rape victim<\/strong> led the victim’s attorney, Tony Buzbee<\/strong>, to countersue<\/a> the Roc Nation<\/strong> mogul in late December.<\/p>\n

The Insanity Defense<\/h2>\n

The government’s filing refers to the “Insanity Defense Reform Act of 1984 (IDRA),”<\/strong> arguing that Dr. Aoun’s testimony<\/strong> is inadmissible under IDRA and Federal Rule of Criminal Evidence 12.2<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The filing goes on to attack<\/strong> Dr. Elie Aoun<\/strong>, citing “contradictory information<\/strong>,” stating “it is impossible to \u201cdiscern any reliable method; rather the opinions . . . are supported by what appears to be a \u2018because I said so\u2019 explanation<\/strong>.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Finally, the filing ends stating that Dr. Aoun’s “opinions are both unreliable and irrelevant.<\/strong><\/p>\n
