Following allegations<\/a> of Jay-Z’s company Roc Nation<\/strong> being involved in money laundering, racketeering, and human trafficking, <\/strong>critics are questioning why Caesars Entertainment<\/strong> would risk their proposed $5 billion Times Square casino,<\/strong> by partnering with an alleged criminal organization<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Recently, we covered the lawsuit<\/a> filed by Terrence Dixon (T.A.),<\/strong> accusing Jay-Z’s company Roc Nation of <\/strong>trafficking, racketeering, money laundering, and other federal crimes<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The lawsuit details an alarming pattern of criminality by Roc Nation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Caesars Palace Gambling Reputation With Roc Nation Partnership – Money Laundering Alleged<\/em><\/h2>\n

The Broadway community has been getting increasingly vocal in their opposition<\/a> of the proposed casino, which includes a partnership between Jay-Z’s Roc Nation<\/strong> and Caesars Entertainment<\/strong>. The Caesars Palace Times Square\u00a0casino proposal<\/strong> is\u00a0one of eight<\/strong> competing for one of three available casino licenses.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Roc Nation’s association with numerous federal crimes<\/strong>, especially money laundering,<\/strong> is alarming both critics and the community.<\/p>\n

Per the August 8, 2025<\/strong> filing against Fat Joe, Roc Nation and others<\/a>:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe pleading sets forth specific acts by Roc Nation personnel<\/strong>, including the coordination of financial cover-ups, the laundering of illicit proceeds through corporate accounts, and the provision of resources to conceal ongoing criminal conduct.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cRoc Nation<\/strong>, through it\u2019s leadership and personnel, coordinated with Defendant Cartagena (Fat Joe) to launder illicit proceeds, shield criminal activity from law enforcement scrutiny, and provide operational cover for the enterprise.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Proposed Casino Will Increase Crime<\/em><\/h2>\n

“A Beacon for Gangs, Crime, as Well as Drug and Human Trafficking”<\/em><\/h3>\n

Among critics’ concerns, are that the casino will increase crime<\/strong>. “The mere association with a perceived criminal organization like Roc Nation<\/strong> could make the casino a beacon for gangs, crime, as well as drug and human trafficking<\/strong>,” stated an anonymous source. “At this point, Jay-Z and Roc Nation<\/strong> are synonymous with crime.<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Alarming Allegations Against Roc Nation<\/em><\/h2>\n

The alarming allegations<\/strong> in the complaint against Roc Nation, <\/strong>has people questioning if this type of criminality will manifest in the proposed Times Square casino<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

Shawn Carter<\/strong>, better known as Jay-Z<\/strong>, has faced a slew of allegations recently.<\/p>\n

Among those are his alleged involvement<\/a> in the rape of a 13 year old girl<\/strong> with close associate Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs<\/strong>, his alleged involvement in\u00a0murders<\/strong><\/a>, and his company Roc Nation’s<\/strong> and convicted-felon CEO Desiree Perez’s <\/strong>alleged involvement<\/a> in racketeering<\/strong>, illegally surveilling and committing<\/strong> Perez’s own daughter.<\/p>\n

Roc Nation’s CEO Desiree Perez<\/strong>, also known as ‘The Shady Lady,’<\/strong> was convicted of attempting to smuggle <\/strong>35 kilos of cocaine<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
