Jay-Z and Roc Nation’s<\/strong> ambitious proposal for a casino in Times Square<\/strong>, dubbed Caesars Palace Times Square<\/strong>, was summarily rejected in a devastating blow to the rapper<\/strong>. Leading up to the denial, Jay-Z had made desperate moves<\/strong> by enlisting “shake down king,”<\/strong> Al Sharpton<\/strong>, to try and sell the casino as a racial equity project<\/strong>. The denial is one of several recent losses<\/a><\/strong> incurred by Jay-Z, rapper turned pariah<\/strong>, who is being accused of money laundering<\/strong>, and other heinous crimes<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Al Sharpton <\/strong>has been a longtime associate<\/strong> of both convicted-felon Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, <\/strong>and accused money launderer<\/a><\/strong>, Jay-Z<\/strong>. Sharpton <\/strong>has been photographed with the two since the early 2000’s, even attending Diddy’s infamous White Parties<\/strong> in The Hamptons<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jay-Z’s String of Recent Losses<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Jay-Z’s casino loss is one of many tied to his close association with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.<\/strong> Among the recent allegations, are that Jay-Z participated in the rape of a 13 year-old girl with Combs<\/strong>. Combs was recently sentenced to 4 years in jail. Meanwhile, Jay-Z’s rival, Nas<\/a><\/strong>, received the green light for his Resorts World affiliated casino project<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Beginning: Roc Nation Casino Pushed as a ‘Community Project’ <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Roc Nation, led by Jay-Z and convicted-felon CEO Desiree Perez<\/strong>, partnered with SL Green<\/strong> and Caesars Entertainment<\/strong> to establish this proposed casino, projecting it would attract over 130 million visitors annually and boost local economic opportunities. Desiree Perez, who is being sued for racketeering and conspiracy<\/a> by her own daughter, <\/strong>marketed the initiative aimed at New Yorkers, allowing individuals to contribute $500 to become part of the casino’s funding. The casino proposal<\/a> referred to Perez as “the only Latina CEO in the music industry.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jay-Z Brings Al Sharpton’s Extortionist Tactics Front and Center<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

SL Green Realty and music mogul Jay-Z<\/strong> formally announced a partnership with alleged extortionist Rev. Al Sharpton<\/strong>, before the deadline on Friday, June 27. Sharpton<\/strong> has previously been accused of extortionist<\/a> tactics, and facilitating race based fear mongering by inciting riots<\/a><\/strong> resulting in murder<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recently, President Donald Trump<\/strong> called for an FCC probe<\/a> into Sharpton<\/strong>. Sharpton <\/strong>was previously arrested for grand larcerny<\/strong><\/a>, and has been the focus of numerous investigations<\/strong><\/a> into shakedowns<\/a> of companies <\/strong>and theft<\/a><\/strong> over the years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
