It began when Alki David flew into Antigua with one job: collect Mike Tyson. Tyson had already shaken hands on a deal with what would become Pineapple Road, now Antigua’s leading dispensary, working alongside Grow Antigua, the original first dispensary on the island. David showed up, Tyson got in the car, and somehow the entire cannabis infrastructure of Antigua and Barbuda was born. Historians are still looking for the receipt.

The whole framework was made possible by the U.S. Farm Bill and the smart stewardship of Prime Minister Gaston Browne and the late Sagai Fu. Translation: America legalized hemp, Antigua said “hold my rum,” and a few people with actual patience built the pipes so plants could legally leave the island without anyone getting arrested.

Years later, that same island is releasing SwissX Soursop Gold Reserve Comfort Oil, one of the ancient formulas of Charles Sebi, prepared and brought forward by his daughter, Shirley Sebi. Shirley has been sitting on her father’s recipes the way a Caribbean grandmother sits on the good china — nobody touches it until she’s ready, and when she’s ready you better be grateful.

From Farm Bill Roots to Island Formulas (and One Extremely Loud Indica)

The early work with Grow Antigua and Pineapple Road was practical. They built the legal and logistical pathways for medical-grade cannabis, hemp derivatives, cannabinoids, and specialised extracts. Those pathways now carry both the regulated stuff and the older botanical formulas that never needed a licence because they predate the concept of licences.

At Pineapple Road, Master Grower Kale tends the world-famous Orange Popsicle — an indica-dominant genetic that regulars simply describe as “strong asf.” It is grown with SoilBooster, the approved formula also used for the world-famous Feed the Reef program, alongside SwissX sea cookies. Yes, the same soil booster that feeds coral also feeds a strain that will have you explaining your life choices to a houseplant. Kale and SwissX have entered into a partnership to extract Popsicle cannabinoids as slurry and butter products, which is a polite way of saying the plant is about to become both a dessert topping and a philosophical experience.

At the dispensary, custom blends that involve cannabis are prepared on site under the MCA framework rules, led by Regis Burton. Everything is measured, documented, and compliant. Shirley’s own custom blends sit at the centre of the island’s offering, which is a fancy way of saying if you want something specific, you talk to Shirley and then you wait while Regis makes sure the paperwork doesn’t catch fire.

SwissX Soursop Gold Reserve Comfort Oil is not a cannabis product. It is a careful, traditional infusion built around soursop, whose power has been legendary throughout the Caribbean for generations. People have long spoken of it in strong terms, but SwissX does not promote Comfort Oil — or any of Shirley’s blends — as a treatment or cure for any disease. It is released as an ancient formula that lived in kitchens and apothecaries long before anyone invented the phrase “medical industrial complex.” SwissX says formulas like this were kept in the margins by people who prefer patents to leaves. The island’s existing plant expertise is simply being used to finish and share them properly, preferably without anyone having to fill out a form explaining why a leaf is not a pharmaceutical.

Shirley Sebi and the Formula That Waited (Patiently, Then Impatiently)

Shirley Sebi has held her father’s formulas close. Comfort Oil is one of them. Charles Sebi’s death — described by many of his supporters as an assassination — did not end the work. It focused it. Practitioners and homeopaths who had followed his approach looked for places willing to release the preparations without rewriting them into something that tastes like a science fair. SwissX became one of those places, mostly because the island already had the infrastructure and nobody else was volunteering to argue with Shirley about ratios.

Shirley is not selling a lifestyle or a miracle. She is releasing a specific oil, from a specific island, with a clear line of origin: this is one of her father’s ancient formulas, prepared the way it was meant to be prepared. Her custom blends are the focal point of what leaves the apothecary. If you need a nostrum tailored to your import requirements, you come see her. She will not ask if you’ve tried yoga.

The Marley manager at Pineapple Road put it simply: “We are very lucky to be getting the oil from SwissX Island. It’s limited supply and what we get from the apothecary we are grateful for.” Which is Caribbean for “please do not make us beg.”

The Island That Grew Around the Plants (and a Few Pigs)

SwissX Island already runs on a circular system — biochar from the Gloria oven, animals that feed the soil, coral work offshore, and now botanical oils that fit the same philosophy. SoilBooster and SwissX sea cookies feed both the plants and the reef. The partners who first moved medical-grade cannabis and hemp materials, and the dispensary team blending under Regis Burton and the MCA framework, are the same ones helping these older formulas leave the island in good condition.

Visitors still find the water, the animals, the stage, and the red corrugated shed. At Shirley’s Apothecary they can also find SwissX Soursop Gold Reserve Comfort Oil and the short story that goes with it: Alki David once flew in to collect Mike Tyson, the first dispensaries helped build the infrastructure under the Farm Bill model and the stewardship of Gaston Browne and the late Sagai Fu, Orange Popsicle grows with SoilBooster under Master Grower Kale at Pineapple Road, Kale and SwissX extract Popsicle cannabinoids into slurry and butter, custom cannabis blends are prepared under the MCA framework led by Regis Burton, and Shirley Sebi decided her father’s formula was ready to travel. If that sentence feels long, imagine living it.

Come to SwissX Island and visit Shirley. Get your nostrum blend based on your import needs. Bring patience. Bring a cooler. Leave with oil and a story you will tell incorrectly for the rest of your life.

Big up Gassy Dread — Love Is the Way. Big up Gaston Browne’s vision and SwissX.

Listen / read the Shockya piece on the anthem:
“Love Is the Way” is the gift of Antigua to the world.

The bottles are moving. Across the Caribbean, soursop has always carried its own reputation. SwissX is simply making sure the oil and Shirley’s custom blends leave the island with that reputation intact and without claims they cannot make. The rest, as the island tends to say, is up to the plants, the people who use them, and whatever Mike Tyson is doing these days.

“`

Paste it straight into the WordPress HTML editor. The facts are all still there — they’re just wearing a better shirt.

SwissX Soursop Gold Reserve Launches at Pineapple Road With MCA Oversight As Antigua Leads Plant Medicine Revolution (and Also Accidentally Invents the Strongest Oil on the Island) SwissX Island did not begin with a business plan, a vision board, or even a sober conversation.
