Weekend on BBC Three: Soap, Sci‑Fi, Comedy – Pick Your Poison

If you’re looking to fill your Saturday or Sunday with something that actually keeps you glued to the screen, BBC Three’s line‑up has a little of everything. From the familiar heart‑ache of EastEnders to the sharp edge of Killing Eve, there’s a slot for every mood.

EastEnders Omnibus – 19:00 to 20:30

EastEnders continues its tradition of dramatic twists. The omnibus shows the Sunday episodes in a condensed block, and this week you’ll see the Slaters confront Zoe’s funeral complications. It’s the staple soap that still entertains millions. We think the drama remains solid, though it can feel a bit predictable.

"EastEnders

Killing Eve – 23:25 to 00:05

This thriller picks up where the episode left off in Berlin. Villanelle’s daring kill has set a new tone, and Eve’s investigation takes a darker turn. The show holds up well with its mix of suspense and dark humour. For those who like high‑stakes espionage, it’s a solid pick.

"Killing

Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps – 02:25 to 02:55

Comedy with a splash of adult humour. The latest episode sees Janet’s nicotine addiction spiral out of control. The slap‑stick is still reliable for those who prefer light‑hearted banter. It’s worth a quick watch if you’re in the mood for something off‑beat.

"Two

Film Club – 00:50 to 01:20

For cinephiles, Film Club offers a deeper look at character dynamics. The episode focuses on Evie’s decision‑making under pressure. It’s a thoughtful segment that provides a breather from the more frantic shows.

"Film

BBC New Comedy Awards 2026 – 22:35 to 23:10

Five new comics battle for a spot in the final. The live format gives it an energetic feel, though the strong language may not suit younger viewers. For comedy lovers looking for fresh talent, this is a decent watch.

"BBC

Hyperdrive – 21:35 to 22:05

The sci‑fi comedy’s latest episode sees the crew facing the Red Shiny Robots of Vortis. The humour remains a bit over‑the‑top, but for fans of space satire it still holds up. It’s a decent filler if you’re in for something light.

The Witches (2020) – 19:00 to 20:35

Based on Roald Dahl, this family‑friendly fantasy introduces a coven of witches. It’s still entertaining for younger viewers, though the themes can be a bit dark. Ideal for a family movie night.

"The

Miranda – 20:35 to 21:05

Miranda finds herself in a therapy session that turns into a comedic nightmare. The show’s dry wit remains a reliable source of laughs for those who appreciate subtle humour.

"Miranda"

Sort Your Life Out with Stacey Solomon – 02:55 to 03:55

Home‑decluttering reality‑TV with a charismatic host. The show offers practical tips for tidying up. It holds up well for viewers who want a light, feel‑good segment.

"Sort

Bottom line: BBC Three delivers a balanced mix of drama, comedy, and reality this weekend. Whether you’re a soap fan, a thriller enthusiast, or just looking for a quick laugh, there’s something that fits your mood.
