Richard R. Finch was apprehended after a boy came forward, claiming the 56-year-old, who also produced such hits as ‘Shake Your Booty’ and ‘Keep It Comin’ Love,’ had sexual contact with him at his home in Newark. <\/p>\n
The Licking County sheriff’s office said the boy first made the allegations the week before they arrested Finch. He later admitted to the sexual abuse when he was being interviewed by police officers at the sheriff’s office. Finch also said the boy wasn’t the only one he had sexual relations with, and the other kids ranged in ages from 13 to 17.<\/p>\n
The former bass player for the band was being held on $250,000 bond. A message posted on the web site for the Richard Finch Productions Inc. company said the allegations are baseless. The statement also said that “We will let due process happen through the legal system, and through that, we are sure Mr. Finch will be vindicated from these unfounded allegations.” No arraignment date has been yet for the seven-time Grammy Award winner.<\/p>\n
