{"id":26023,"date":"2010-03-29T09:24:22","date_gmt":"2010-03-29T16:24:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shockya.com\/news\/?p=26023"},"modified":"2010-03-29T09:24:22","modified_gmt":"2010-03-29T16:24:22","slug":"orson-welles-ressurected-in-christmas-tails","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.shockya.com\/news\/2010\/03\/29\/orson-welles-ressurected-in-christmas-tails\/","title":{"rendered":"Orson Welles Ressurected In Christmas Tails"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The late Orson Welles will be returning the big screen for Drac Studios&#8217; &#8220;Christmas Tails&#8221;, with a long-lost recording of Welles reading the children&#8217;s Christmas story being used in a live\/action-CGI film version.<\/p>\n<p>Drac, who are best known as the SFX shop behind &#8220;The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button&#8221;, is in development on &#8220;Christmas Tails,&#8221; directed by Todd Tucker and narrated by the legendary Welles, who died in 1985.<\/p>\n<p>Drac president Harvey Lowry describes the project as &#8220;It&#8217;s a movie about how Santa&#8217;s dog saves Christmas, but on one level, this a story about the discovery of Orson&#8217;s lost tapes, [&#8230;] This is a substantial find. It&#8217;s something that a filmmaker dreams of.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Robert X. Leed self-published a book titled &#8220;Christmas Tails&#8221; 25 years ago and in 1985 got his friend Welles to narrate it on tape.
