The director will be back on board to produce &#8216;X-Men: First Class,&#8217; after the studio saw his treatment for the film.<\/p>\n<p>Their relationship previously ended when Fox didn&#8217;t sign Singer fast enough to direct the third installment in the series, &#8216;X-Men: The Last Stand.&#8217;  The director later teamed up with Warner Bros. to helm its classic comic book adaptation, &#8216;Superman Returns,&#8217; which was released the same year as &#8216;The Last Stand.&#8217;  Brett Ratner, who directed &#8216;Red Dragon,&#8217; was then hired to helm &#8216;The Last Stand&#8217; instead.<\/p>\n<p>Fox decided it wanted Singer to direct &#8216;First Class&#8217; as soon as possible, but he was already committed to filming another Warner Bros.&#8217; movie, &#8216;Jack the Giant Killer,&#8217; this summer.
