It looks like Saw VII<\/em> is getting a name change. Don’t worry; it’s not something atrocious like 5nal Destination<\/em>, but that still doesn’t mean the new title is anything good. Lionsgate is calling the franchise’s seventh installment Saw 3D The Traps Come Alive<\/em>.<\/p>\n

There better be a good reason for this silly title. Shock Till You Drop<\/a> suggests it’s being used to sensationalize director Kevin Greutert’s work, but I’m hoping it’s a little deeper than that. Perhaps the traps actually have some sort of living element to them – animals, insects or maybe even people. Even though the film doesn’t hit theaters until October 22nd<\/sup>, we’ll likely get a better picture of what to expect from Saw 3D<\/em> soon because Lionsgate plans to show some footage from the film at its Comic-Con panel later this month.<\/p>\n
