Here’s the leaked production memo detailing upcoming films along with notes from a Paramount executive, many of the titles we already know such as Taylor Lautner in Max Steel and World War Z, but there are definitely a few surprises!<\/p>\n
Triple Frontier<\/strong>: Mark Boal draft came in great and they’re mobilizing to get this into production by December or January. Kathryn Bigelow has been meeting w\/ Sean Penn, Will Smith, Javier Bardem & Christian Bale for the ensemble cast.<\/p>\n Dunderheads<\/strong>: This is a $15m movie they’re making with Montecito later this year. Lana Williams wrote it – its a heist movie with middle-schoolers (“Oceans 11 year old”). They will likely put a commercials\/video director on this.<\/p>\n Hansel & Gretel<\/strong>: This will go later this year – beginning casting conversations. Tommy Wirkola directing.<\/p>\n Will<\/strong>: They found a partner for this (smaller finacier) and are closing their deal – January start date.<\/p>\n My Mother’s Curse<\/strong>: Finishing up Seth Rogen & Barbara Streisand deals. Anne Fletcher directing. Aiming for November start date.<\/p>\n World War Z<\/strong>: They love the new Matt Carnahan draft and it looks like this is coming together. Brad Pitt to star, Marc Forster to direct.<\/p>\n GI Joe 2<\/strong>: They’re VERY happy with the Reese and Wernick draft. Good chance that Sommers may direct the sequel after all.<\/p>\n The Dictator<\/strong>: Expecting script any day now from Berg\/Schaffer\/Mandel (Sasha goat movie).<\/p>\n Twilight Zones<\/strong>: David Chase movie. Casting – will be all unknowns (group of young guys)<\/p>\n Star Trek<\/strong>: Casting; will go in the Fall. Jack Ryan: Needs a rewrite (looking for a new writer) before green-lighting.<\/p>\n Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles<\/strong>: Fusco draft not great; looking for another writer to come on this quickly as its a huge Viacom priority.<\/p>\n Hasbro Factory<\/strong>: Hearing takes from writers on this. This is the “Night At A Museum” in a toy factory idea.<\/p>\n Zoolander 2<\/strong>: Justin Theroux writing<\/p>\n Luna<\/strong>: Not moving forward.<\/p>\n What Men Want<\/strong>: Happy with Chiarelli draft, looking for a polish. Cameron Diaz attached.<\/p>\n Au Revoir, Crazy European Chick<\/strong>: Book they just bought yesterday for Josh Schwartz\/Stephanie Savage- (who they are aggressively looking to buy for) – about a guy who discovers his prom date is an assassin.<\/p>\n Baywatch<\/strong>: Gatewood & Tanaka’s draft due soon.<\/p>\n I Want To ___ Your Sister<\/strong>: Melissa Stack’s new draft due soon; her rewrite was to reset their story in college.<\/p>\n How Could You Do This To Me<\/strong>: Emma Forrest writing. Miranda Cosgrove attached.<\/p>\n Nevada Smith<\/strong>: Jamie Linden writing. Remake of the 1966 film about a guy who tracks down everyone who has wronged him. “Fugitive” meets “Taken”.<\/p>\n Daddy’s Home<\/strong>: Etan will finish his rewrite once he’s done with “Men in Black”.<\/p>\n Max Steel<\/strong>: Damiani & Leven writing; this feels like it has lost momentum.
