This comes after critics, including Anderson Cooper and GLAAD,\u00a0publicly raised their criticisms of the use of the word as an openly accepted pejorative in the movie&#8217;s trailers and advertising.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, when the CNN host appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, he denounced Universal, the studio releasing &#8216;The Dilemma,&#8217; which stars Vince Vaughn, and Howard for\u00a0&#8220;relying on a tasteless slur that promotes intolerance to help sell the movie.&#8221; He added that he saw the trailer while at a theater, and\u00a0an actor said &#8220;That&#8217;s so gay.&#8221; He said he was shocked that not only would Universal put that in the movie, but thought it was acceptable to include in a preview.<\/p>\n<p>There are rumors that GLAAD was already calling for Universal to remove\u00a0the comments from the trailers before Cooper&#8217;s appearance on Ellen.
