Three new live-action television series are in the works at Marvel Studios, Slashfilm.com<\/a> is reporting. After Disney acquired the studio, Jeph Loeb, who has previously worked on such shows as ‘Lost,’ ‘Heroes,’ ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ and ‘Smallville,’ was appointed to run the television division. He decided to bring the three series, based on Marvel superheroes, to the small screen.<\/p>\n

It’s believed that ABC is already developing a show based on ‘The Incredible Hulk.’ While the other two haven’t been publicly discussed as much, Slashfilm is also speculating that Marvel is going to adapt ‘Cloak & Dagger’ for ABC Family. It’s also rumored that ‘The Punisher’ is also going to be developed into a cable series.<\/p>\n

Of the Disney and Marvel merge, Disney CEO Robert Iger has said “(With Marvel) we’ve taken back distribution, or bought back distribution from (Viacom Inc.’s) Paramount, for some critical franchises…We’re developing three live-action series for ABC and ABC Family.”<\/p>\n
