The directors attached to Warner Brothers’ new proposed “Logan’s Run” remake have as short of a life as the characters in the film, and\u00a0 Carl Erik Rinsch is no exception. The commercial director, who was the latest attached to helm the remake of the 1976 movie, has left the project to instead concentrate on Universal’s ’47 Ronin’ with Keanu Reeves, Slashfilm.com<\/a> is reporting.<\/p>\n

Now Joel Silver and Akiva Goldsman, the producers of ‘Logan’s Run,’ are yet again looking for someone else to direct the movie, which was penned by ’28 Days Later’ screenwriter Alex Garland. Other directors who have previously been attached to the film include Joseph Kosinski, Robert Schwentke and Bryan Singer.<\/p>\n

The producers don’t want to wait for Rinsch, who rose to fame after releasing his short film ‘The Gift,’ while he directs ’47 Ronin.’ He was developing the two movies simultaneously, and then Universal set a release date and began scouting locations for their film. As a result, Warner Brothers exercised its right to move onto another director.<\/p>\n

The original ‘Logan’s Run’ told the story of a futruistic society where people are only able to live to the age of 30, and then they’re killed. That changes when one man runs away to fight the established age limit.<\/p>\n
