Screenwriter David Goyer hinted at what the storyline for the new ‘Superman’ reboot, to be directed by Zack Snyder, may focus on, Cinemablend.com is reporting. Goyer penned a forward for the new graphic novel Superman: Secret Origin by Geoff Johns. After reflecting on one of the scenes in the book, he wrote that he’s halfway through his screenplay.<\/p>\n

While Goyer admits that he may become hindered in finishing the script, like many previous ‘Superman’ screenwriters before him, he hopes to be inspired by Johns’s Superman stories. Goyer added that the Secret Origin <\/em>is the first story that will influence him.<\/p>\n

The scene Goyer reflected on follows Clark Kent being told by his parents who he really is. After running away, he later tells his step-father that “I don’t want to be different. I want to be Clark Kent. I want to be your son.” The scene resembles the reported plot premise that circulated several months ago, which said Clark Kent, a new journalist, is trying to figure out if he even wants to be Superman. However, no official details have been released from Snyder or Warner Bros., the studio distributing the film, about the project yet.<\/p>\n
