Elizabeth Hurley is now the fore-runner to play the evil villain Veronica Cale in NBC’s upcoming ‘Wonder Woman’ series, www.tvline.com<\/a> is reporting. The actress tweeted the news on March 3, saying “Thrilled to be doing the NBC pilot ‘Wonder Woman.’ Can’t wait.”<\/p>\n

However, TV Line is also reporting that the deal isn’t official yet, as Hurley is experiencing some visa issues. But should the deal work out, the British actress will be acting alongside ‘Friday Night Light’s Adrianne Palicki, who is set to portray the titular super-heroine in the David E. Kelley reboot.<\/p>\n

The role of Veronica has been written to be a one-time guest-starring role. However, if ‘Wonder Woman’ gets picked up for a full season, and fans react strongly to the character, Veronica may be upgraded to a recurring role.<\/p>\n
