The winning band gets themselves on a Rolling Stone cover and a recording deal with Atlantic Records. Sweet opportunity. <\/p>\n<p>The competition has put the spotlight on the final eight bands and we are going to turn up the light even more on just one, Tha Boogie. The California trio blends several genres of music together to a form a very eclectic sound that has you intrigued until the last note of the track. Reggae, soul and R&amp;B are all in a single song, but their individual qualities are not lost and can still be recognized. <\/p>\n<p>Check out Tha Boogie and the other seven bands in the &#8220;Do You Wanna Be A Rock &#038; Roll Star?&#8221; competition on the Rolling Stone&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/choosethecover\/artists\/tha-boogie\" target=\"blank\">official website<\/a>.
