Pressman have handed the reigns to &#8220;28 Days Later&#8221; director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo to direct a reinvention of &#8220;The Crow&#8221;. <\/p>\n<p>Fresnadillo will collaborate with the writer once a writer has been chosen for the project. Relativity and Pressman will also work with Spain&#8217;s Apaches Entertainment on the production. Filming is set to start fall 2011. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Juan Carlos Fresnadillo is an incredibly talented and imaginative filmmaker,&#8221; Tooley is stated to say in the press release. \u201cWe are thrilled to have him at the helm and are excited to work with both Pressman and Apaches on what we all believe will be a compelling and innovative reimagining of The Crow.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Crow&#8221;, originally made in 1994 based on the comic strip by James O&#8217;Barr, starred Bruce Lee&#8217;s son Brandon Lee, who was mysteriously killed on set. The movie centers around a murdered guitarist who comes back from the dead to seek revenge on those who killed him and his fianc\u00e9e. <\/p>\n<p>Shall we start couch casting? Perhaps someone like Jay Chou (&#8220;Curse of the Golden Flower&#8221;, &#8220;The Green Hornet&#8221;), Shin Koyamada (&#8220;Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior&#8221;) or even Harry Shum, Jr. (&#8220;Glee&#8221;).
