This Labor Day weekend Pearl Jam<\/a> will kick off 20 years of rockin’ and rollin’ with a huge celebration. The band will open the ceremonies with their only U.S. show date for 2011. September 3rd and 4th\u00a0of this year\u00a0Pearl Jam will perform at the Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, WI. During\u00a0this only\u00a0show in the U.S. for 2011,\u00a0fellow musicians Mudhoney, Glen Hansard, Liam Finn, The Strokes,\u00a0Queens of the Stone Age, Joseph Arthur, John Doe and a special guest will make a performance.<\/p>\n

Subsequent to the U.S. show the rock group will cover a ten date Canadian tour. The dates for the Canadian tour\u00a0 are September 7, 2011 through September 25, 2011. Among the cities Pearl Jam will attend embody Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, Hamilton, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the band in league with music journalist, filmmaker Cameron Crowe, will be releasing the film ‘Pearl Jam 20’ along with a book and\u00a0cohesive soundtrack. The film ‘Pearl Jam 20’ spans twenty years of footage never seen. Over 1,200 hours\u00a0of rare film including 24 hours of recent interviews and live footage. The award winning director Cameron Crowe captures the essence of the rock group in ‘Pearl Jam 20’.<\/p>\n

Sony Music\/ Columbia Records will bring the ‘PJ20<\/a>‘ soundtrack out with the films release. Crowe selected the track listing for\u00a0the soundtrack\u00a0\u00a0having them flow in tandem.<\/p>\n

The book is written by veteran music journalist Jonathan Cohen and Mark Wilkerson. Documenting Pearl Jam’s past 20 years in the rock and roll business and is artisticly pleasing. Cameron Crowe creates the forward and offers additional interviews with-in the ‘PJ20’ book.<\/p>\n

These additions will be released sometime this fall during the bands tour dates. More on ‘Pearl Jam 20′ s’, book, film and soundtrack will be public in upcoming weeks.<\/p>\n

Ticket sells for the U.S. show\u00a0at Alpine Valley begin Monday May 23, 2011 for the Ten Club and Saturday June 4, 2011 for the general public.<\/p>\n

Special tickets for Canadian members of the Pearl Jam’s Ten Club go on sale\u00a0Tuesday May 24, 2011. For the general public in Canada ticket sales will be Friday May 27, 2011, except in Montreal where they\u00a0go on sale Saturday May 28, 2011.<\/p>\n
