One of Disney’s greatest films–and one that defined my Generation Y–is “The Lion King”, and recently, some very big news has come out about the film.<\/p>\n

Firstly, Disney is going to re-release the film to theaters in a limited Disney Digital 3D release. The film’s limited two-week release will start September 16. Secondly, the film’s home entertainment re-release will start October 4 with the debut of the Diamond Edition in high definition Blu-Ray and Blu-Ray 3D. “The Lion King” will also be released on DVD November 15. The Blu-ray release marks the first time “The Lion King” has been available in any form since 2004, according to the press release. Here are the details:<\/p>\n

The Lion King”: Diamond Edition home entertainment release will be available from the Disney Vault for a limited time only beginning October 4 as follows:<\/p>\n

– 4-Disc Blu-ray Combo Pack (for the suggested retail price of $49.99 U.S.\/ $56.99 Canada)<\/p>\n

– “The Lion King” = Blu-ray 3D + Blu-ray 2D + DVD + Digital Copy<\/p>\n

– 2-Disc Blu-ray Combo Pack (for the suggested retail price of $39.99 U.S.\/$46.99 Canada)<\/p>\n

– “The Lion King” = Blu-ray 2D + DVD<\/p>\n

– 8-Disc Trilogy (for the suggested retail price of $100.00 U.S.\/ $115.00 Canada)<\/p>\n

– “The Lion King” = Blu-ray 3D + Blu-ray 2D + DVD + Digital Copy<\/p>\n

– “The Lion King 1 1\u017d2” = Blu-ray 2D + DVD<\/p>\n

– “The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride” = Blu-ray 2D + DVD<\/p>\n

And the one-disc DVD Edition will be available on November 15.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
