In promotion of Terra Nova’s fall premiere, Steven Spielberg, and the heads behind the new sci-fi drama series have revealed a new clip for what’s to come!\u00a0 Centering on a doomed human race in the year 2149, Terra Nova follows the Shannon Family and their mission on the Tenth Pilgrimage, a voyage made possible by a “fracture in the space-time continuum, creating a portal to prehistoric Earth.”<\/p>\n
On their way back in time, with the hope of saving mankind, the first look at Terra Nova is pretty cool!\u00a0 The clip features an interesting, and believable plot with dinosaurs, a view of an awesome landscapes, plenty of action, a new civilization and a great cast line up.\u00a0 On board the Spielberg extravaganza is actors Jason O’Mara (Resident Evil), Christine Adams (Batman Begins), Byron J. Brochmann (The Pacific) and newcomer Landon Liboiron,\u00a0 Series creators behind the new show include both Craig Silverstein and Kelly Marcel.<\/p>\n

In the year 2149 the world is dying. \u00a0The planet is overdeveloped, overcrowded and over-polluted. \u00a0With the majority of plant and animal life extinct, devotion to science has brought mankind to the brink of destruction, but has also provided its only hope for salvation. \u00a0Knowing there is no way to reverse the damage to the planet, a coalition of scientists has managed to open up a fracture in the space-time continuum, creating a portal to prehistoric Earth. \u00a0This doorway leads to an amazing world, one that allows for a last-ditch effort to save the human race\u2026 possibly changing the future by correcting the mistakes of the past.<\/p>\n
The series centers on the Shannon family as they join the tenth pilgrimage of settlers to TERRA NOVA, the first colony of humans in this second chance for civilization. \u00a0JIM SHANNON a devoted father with a checkered past, guides his family through this new land of limitless beauty, mystery and terror. \u00a0Jim\u2019s wife, ELISABETH SHANNON, is a trauma surgeon chosen through a global lottery as a new addition to Terra Nova\u2019s medical team. \u00a0JOSH SHANNON is their son, mourning the girl he left behind, as he\u2019s torn between two role models \u2013 his father and the charismatic COMMANDER FRANK TAYLOR, the leader of the settlement, and the heroic first pioneer through the time portal. \u00a0MADDY SHANNON, Jim and Elizabeth\u2019s teen daughter, is as independent and adventurous as her parents, but her distrust of authority soon leads her on a dangerous path.<\/p>\n
