Many people were outraged by the ending, an ending most say was the most unsatisfying ending they&#8217;ve seen in a while. <\/p>\n<p>Tim Goodman at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/bastard-machine\/did-killing-just-kill-203342\" target=\"blank\">The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> gave his review, citing his initial stance on the show.<br \/>\n&#8220;[A]s someone who has defended &#8216;The Killing&#8217;&#8230;there is really no defending the show after the finale. I liked the acting performances of Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman, the detectives trying to figure out who killed Rosie, and Michelle Forbes and Brent Sexton, who played Rosie&#8217;s grieving parents. I also liked the atmospheric bleakness of Seattle&#8230;But ultimately a series comes down to its storytelling and, given the conclusion (or lack thereof) in the season finale, it&#8217;s just impossible to prop up the weaknesses if there was no final saving grace. And there wasn&#8217;t. &#8216;The Killing&#8217; relied entirely too much on red herrings, a gambit that grows increasingly ineffectual the more it&#8217;s used.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Tom and Lorenzo, the team behind the the fashion\/entertainment blog also named <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tomandlorenzo.com\/2011\/06\/the-killing-orpheus-descending.html\" target=\"blank\">Tom and Lorenzo<\/a> eviscerated the show, stating, &#8220;We have never encountered such a blatant disregard for the audience than last night&#8217;s sloppy, unsatisfying wrapup to this sloppy, unsatisfying show.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>What did you think about the finale?
