{"id":57310,"date":"2011-07-02T06:12:41","date_gmt":"2011-07-02T13:12:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shockya.com\/news\/?p=57310"},"modified":"2011-07-02T00:13:48","modified_gmt":"2011-07-02T07:13:48","slug":"russell-tovey-to-be-in-second-season-of-sherlock","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.shockya.com\/news\/2011\/07\/02\/russell-tovey-to-be-in-second-season-of-sherlock\/","title":{"rendered":"Russell Tovey to be in Second Season of Sherlock"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The filming of the second season of &#8220;Sherlock&#8221; is one of the most anticipated events in television right now, and with the announcement of a new castmember, it&#8217;s only gotten bigger. <\/p>\n<p>Russell Tovey, better known as reluctant werewolf George Sands from the original BBC version of &#8220;Being Human,&#8221; has announced on <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/russelltovey\" target=\"blank\">Twitter<\/a> that he was going to be part of the cast. &#8220;Hound of the Baskervilles&#8230; And I am playing Henry&#8230; Good times x,&#8221; he wrote in a <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/russelltovey\/status\/86422006563737600\" target=\"blank\">tweet<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Henry&#8221; he&#8217;s speaking of is Sir Henry Baskerville, the nephew of the late Sir Charles Baskerville. Sir Henry hired Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson to help solve the murder of Sir Charles, who appeared to be mauled by a large dog. He also hires them to protect him from what appears to be a plot to murder him as well. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Sherlock&#8221; is the wildly successful television show based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle&#8217;s mystery series. In this adaptation, the characters are placed in the 21st century instead of the 19th century. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, the second season is expected to premiere this fall on PBS&#8217; &#8220;Masterpiece Mystery&#8221; in conjunction with the BBC.<\/p>\n<p>How do you feel about Tovey being a new part of the &#8220;Sherlock&#8221; cast?
