Remember when Outkast member Andre 3000 was talking about doing a Jimi Hendrix biopic? Well, apparently, contrary to popular belief, the film is not dead! Proof that the film is not dead is “Captain America” star Hayley Atwell talking about her involvement in the project in an interview for next month’s issue of Esquire<\/a>. <\/p>\n

“Next up is possibly a Jimi Hendrix biopic–an independent film with Andre 3000 from OutKast playing Jimi Hendrix,” she said. “But I don’t know, really. The Atwell team is like, Let’s just wait and see…”<\/p>\n

So there you have it. The biopic is still a dream. Hopefully it becomes a reality, because who better to play Hendrix than Andre 3000? He would be amazing as Hendrix. And if enough money gets behind it, it could a wide-release film instead of an indie one that may or may not make it to all of the national theaters. Basically, if things go right with this idea, I think this biopic could be Andre 3000’s “Ray.” <\/p>\n
