Remember that Daily Shock article posted on the site about water on Mars? Well, CNN<\/a> has an update on the story; apparently, an undergrad is responsible for the theory that saltwater is on Mars during the planet’s warmer seasons. <\/p>\n

Lujendra Ojha, a native of Kathmandu, Nepal, is a major in geophysics as the University of Arizona due to his love of mountains, geology and physics. He is also a long-time science-fiction fan and, as a kid, had hopes of inventing a time machine. Due to working with Alfred McEwen University of Arizona researcher Colin Dundas, Ojha is the co-author of the study in the journal Science that outlines the possibility for water on Mars. <\/p>\n

Ojha, 21, is the first one on the team to give the conclusion that water was causing erosion in a crater on Mars. According to Ojha, his discovery was a “lucky accident” since he originally thought the distortions were shadows. <\/p>\n
