For fans of the “Back to the Future” franchise, one of the most coveted items that never existed in real life were Marty McFly’s futuristic self-lacing shoes from “Back to the Future–Part II.” Well, now they can be coveted and on your feet.<\/p>\n
Nike did file a patent<\/a> for self-lacing shoes in 2009, and now, according to FilmJunk<\/a>, it would appear that the shoes, being called “Air Mags,” have been launched during a special event in L.A. Thursday. <\/p>\n Wednesday, producer Frank Marshall announced on Twitter about the event in an effort to drum up buzz, tweeting<\/a> “Something big is coming soon. Can’t say anything yet. No one should know too much about their own destiny.”<\/p>\n You can probably feel how high-priced these shoes are going to be, but I’m sure they will still be snatched up.
