According to The Hollywood Reporter,<\/a> Anderson Cooper and his staff have been blindsided by the recent coma of one of their guests. <\/p>\n

A teenage boy was meant to be a guest on an episode of Cooper’s daytime talk show “Anderson.” The episode was going be on what goes on inside the mind of a teenager, and prior to the teenager’s appearance on the show, the producer told the teen to “film the crazy stuff you do.” The boy filmed himself doing skateboarding stunts, which led to a serious head injury. <\/p>\n

A representative for the show stated to The Hollywood Reporter in a statement that the producers were working with the teenager and his parents on a show about the science relating to the teenage brain, based on a National Geographic story. <\/p>\n

“As part of our routine process, we ask guests for video footage and photos,” read the statement. ” We did not provide the family with a camera. On the morning that they were supposed to travel to NYC, we learned that the teen had been injured. We are very concerned about him, and are thinking of him and his family.”<\/p>\n
