Michael Slezak from TVLine<\/a> has put out his review of the Halloween episode of “Saturday Night Live” starring Anna Faris and musical guest Drake, and from his estimation, the show was more trick than treat. <\/p>\n

According to Slezak, the best moments of the episode was the “Lord Wyndemere” sketch, starring Paul Brittain as the odd, Peter Pan-esque dandy who is as precious as he is creepy. The worst sketches being “Tell Him”, a “Grease”-esque skit where Faris and various female members of the cast sing bad advice about what to tell a boyfriend; “The Manuel Ortiz Show,” a show that’s meant to parody Television Dominicana talk shows featuring Armisen as Manuel Ortiz; the skit about the GOP debate being held at the Marriott Hotel, the closing skit featuring Faris and Kristen Wiig as ’80s girls looking at Porsche male models and the opening skit featuring Armisen as New York City’s Mayor Bloomberg. <\/p>\n

I agree with Slezak when it comes to “Tell Him,” the Marriott GOP skit, the Porsche calendar skit (which was not funny at all) and some elements of the Bloomberg opener, but I actually laughed at the “Manuel Ortiz” skit. It was hilarious and similar to some of the shows I’ve seen on similar network Univision (the skit being blown out of proportion for comedic purposes, of course). I didn’t get the fire alarm part of it, but otherwise, it was a winner to me. Also, the Japanese club sketch was painfully accurate–I have seen this in real life, having been a part of a convention. <\/p>\n
