Remember the viral “Sesame Street” video “I Love My Hair”? The puppet from that video is back again and ready to proclaim to kids everyone that not only can they accept their hair exactly the way it is, but to also believe they can be whatever they want to be when the grow up. <\/p>\n

The video for the song, “Change The World,” was written by “Sesame Street”‘s head writer Joey Mazzarino. According to The Huffington Post<\/a>, “I Love My Hair,” was inspired by Mazzarino’s then-five-year-old daughter Segi, who is adopted from Ethiopia. <\/p>\n

Speaking of self-worth, The Huffington Post also reported on Sesame Street’s new anti-bullying campaign<\/a>, which includes a special episode to teach its young viewers how to recognize and fight against bullying. <\/p>\n

I love these videos featuring the “I Love My Hair” puppet since her message about accepting yourself can teach not only children, but adults who think their natural hair is “problem” hair. This new video is just as inspiring, and I’m glad Mazzarino is producing these videos for kids young and old. <\/p>\n
