The lawyer said the victim&#8217;s story contradicts the one given by an alleged witness to the scene.<\/p>\n<p>When Amendola appeared on &#8216;Today,&#8217; he told Ann Curry that it&#8217;s a possibility that the alleged victim is lying. &#8220;In fairness, we plan to investigate this and find out if that&#8217;s a possibility. Is it possible that (Jerry) committed these things? Of course&#8230;.But what if he didn&#8217;t?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Amendola added that it&#8217;s possible that some of the alleged victims who have come forward may have realized that there would be money from lawsuits against the university. He added that his client did continue to shower with the young boys after being warned about his behavior in the late 1990s, because he &#8220;didn&#8217;t use a whole lot of common sense.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Sandusky told NBC&#8217;s Bob Costa that he is innocent of the charges against him. He added that he was only &#8220;horsing around,&#8221; and regrets showering with the young boys.<\/p>\n<p>One of the main accusations the former coach is facing is that he raped a 10-year-old boy in a shower at the school&#8217;s athletic facilities. Sandusky is denying then-graduate student Mike McQueary&#8217;s claims in that particular case.
