The beloved Christmas classic is already popular in its film form, but stage musical fans might make it even more popular now that the film has been adapted into a musical. <\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2011\/11\/22\/a-christmas-story-musical_n_1107336.html?icid=maing-grid7|main5|dl12|sec3_lnk1|115099\" target=\"blank\">The Huffington Post,<\/a> the musical stage version of &#8220;A Christmas Story&#8221; is currently going on the road with a five-city tour until November 27. The purpose of the tour is to gain traction for the show as well as a following. <\/p>\n<p>Lyricist Benj Pasek told the Post that so far, everything&#8217;s good. &#8220;We&#8217;re hoping it&#8217;s not too bumpy of a ride on the road, but it&#8217;s a good birthing process and it&#8217;s going OK so far,&#8221; he said. <\/p>\n<p>The show includes over a dozen songs written by Pasek and composer Justin Paul, including songs about the now-cult-status BB gun.<\/p>\n<p>The five cities included in the tour are Detroit, MI until Nov. 27, Raleigh, N.C. from Nov. 29-Dec. 4, Tampa Fla from Dec. 6-11 and Chicago, IL from Dec. 14-30.
