Catch Russell Brand host the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards on September 7th at 9pm SHARP.<\/p>\n<p>Details: MTV is breaking down the walls and giving fans an all access pass to the world&#8217;s most explosive musical showcase EVER as Rihanna, Pink, T.I. and Paramore have been confirmed to perform at the &#8220;2008 Video Music Awards.&#8221;.  For the first time on live television, multi-platinum songstress, Rihanna will perform her hit single &#8220;Disturbia&#8221; and self proclaimed King of the South, T.I. will perform a new single off his upcoming album Paper Trail.  Pink will prove that the impossible is plausible as she gives a fiery performance of her new single, &#8220;Say What,&#8221; off her highly anticipated album Funhouse.  Fans will not believe their eyes as punk-pop band, Paramore, perform their raw and energetic single &#8220;Misery Business&#8221; from their sophomore album RIOT!.  Kid Rock, Lil Wayne and the Jonas Brothers have already been added to the list of powerhouse performers at this year\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s show.  As previously announced, MTV\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s 25th annual Video Music Awards will be hosted by comedian\/actor Russell Brand and will air live and only one time in its original incarnation, on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at 9PM SHARP (Live ET\/Tape Delayed PT).  Presenters and additional performers for the &#8220;2008 Video Music Awards&#8221; will be announced at a later date.<\/p>\n<p>Official sponsors of &#8220;2008 VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS&#8221; are GM, Pepsi, TAG Body Spray, Taco Bell, Rhapsody and Verizon Wireless.<\/p>\n<p>This year, one lucky viewer will get the chance of a lifetime trip by joining &#8220;Do Good. Go to the VMAs.&#8221; Think.MTV.com, MTV\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s online community for youth activism, is hooking up one young activist and shipping them off to Los Angeles to attend the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards alongside the biggest stars in the industry.
