Director Michael Moore has announced that he will post his new political documentary online so fans can download it for free. <\/p>\n
Captain Mike Across America, which follows Moore to over 60 college campuses in attempt to get young Americans to vote during the 2004 election, will be available as a free download for three weeks starting on September 23rd. <\/p>\n
Moore says, “I thought it’d be a nice way to celebrate my 20th year of doing this, and also help get out the vote for November. I’ve been thinking about what I want to do to help with the election this year.” <\/p>\n
This will be the first time a major movie will be released online for free.<\/p>\n
The director’s last film, Sicko, focusing on the profits and woes of the U.S. healthcare system, was leaked online and downloaded illegally in large numbers, perhaps the reason behind Moore\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s decision.<\/p>\n
Moore’s other works include Roger & Me, Bowling for Columbine, Fahrenheit 9\/11 and television series “The Awful Truth.”<\/p>\n
Columbine won Moore an Oscar in 2003, along with several other awards, and Sicko was nominated for an Oscar in 2008. “The Awful Truth” was nominated for an Emmy two years in a row.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
