Daniel Radcliffe is facing extreme pressure for his first lead film role since the ending of the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise, but he completely immersed himself in his character in ‘The Woman in Black,’ MTV<\/a> is reporting. Of the actor’s portrayal of lawyer Arthur Kipps in ‘The Woman in Black,’ the horror-thriller film’s screenwriter, Jane Goldman, said she believes he successfully transformed from child star to adult actor.<\/p>\n

Goldman, who is known for writing such hit comic book film adaptations as ‘Kick-Ass’ and ‘X-Men: First Class,’ as well the spy thriller ‘The Debt,’ said Radcliffe’s performance “is an extraordinary achievement. I think we were all blown away by his performance. I think that’s going to be pretty exciting for his fans.”<\/p>\n

The screenwriter added that “with the last few years of ‘Potter,’ he was playing younger than he is. He is a young man, but he also threw himself totally into this (‘Woman in Black’) role.” Goldman added that she feels it’s impressive Radcliffe was so believable as a widower and father in the horror film.<\/p>\n

Goldman said she was excited about the majority Radcliffe brought to the performance. “I think that will be a fun and really interesting thing for his audience to see. He’s really playing a man.”<\/p>\n
