This entry into &#8220;Underworld&#8221;, &#8220;Underworld Awakening,&#8221; isn&#8217;t any different. <\/p>\n<p>The film, starring Kate Beckinsale, is only at 33% on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rottentomatoes.com\/m\/underworld_awakening\/\">Rotten Tomatoes<\/a>. The audience, however, gave the film a rather high 78% rating, obviously fine with the amount of action and supernatural elements. <\/p>\n<p>The critical response to the film, according to Rotten Tomatoes, is:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There&#8217;s more vapid action and less story in &#8216;Underworld Awakening&#8217; than previous installments, making the whole affair feel inconsequential.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Quite a few of the critics&#8217; individual articles seem to reflect the general sentiment, but there are some critics who gave it a tepid-to-mild positive review. One particularly glowing review comes from Joe Leydon of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.variety.com\/review\/VE1117946866\/\">Variety<\/a>, who said, &#8220;Once again, Beckinsale brings an impressive physicality and subzero cool to her portrayal of Selene.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>However, these are just the critics&#8217; opinions.
