Rothman talked the power of the reboot for Marvel, particularly in using “The Incredible Hulk” reboot to help pave the way for the upcoming “Avengers” movie and says “A Daredevil [\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6]reboot, is something we are thinking very seriously about.”<\/p>\n
“Daredevil” took in over $100 million at the box office but got mixed reactions from critics at the time. It spawned a spinoff in “Elektra”, starring Garner reprising her role in 2005. <\/p>\n
Marvel’s Daredevil first appeared in 1964 but rose to prominence in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s when the now-legendary Frank Miller brought a different take to the then-traditionally superhero title, focusing more on the hero battling organized crime and bringing a martial arts aspect into the story. <\/p>\n
Daredevil is Matt Murdock, raised as a child by his father in New York’s notorious Hell’s Kitchen and blinded by a chemical spill one day. He then discovers that while he can no longer see his other senses are heightened by the chemicals to a superhuman level, also gifting him with a “radar” sense. Going to law school to help uphold law and order, he dons a costume to take revenge on the mobsters who murder his boxer father for not throwing a fight, and continues to fight as Daredevil, protecting New York and rising to prominence in comics as being one of the few handicapped superheroes. <\/p>\n
