<\/p>\nBritish actor Simon Pegg has signed a $1 million ($1.8 million U.S.) deal with publishers Hodder + Stoughton to write an autobiography plus two more books.<\/p>\n

A spokesman for the publishing house says, “Pegg writes for us but somehow the films appeal to America too. He is our biggest export. I don’t think there is any British actor of his ilk who has been so successful.”<\/p>\n
Pegg recently starred in a memoir adaption of British journalist Toby Young\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s life, How to Lose Friends & Alienate People<\/strong>, which opened October 3rd in the U.S. Although it made $1.4 million in the U.S. box office, not breaking into the top ten for its opening weekend, How to Lose Friends & Alienate People<\/strong> hit the number one spot on Britain’s box office charts.
