It’s already been revealed that this would be his next script writing project which Jonathan Levine (“50\/50,” “The Wackness”) would be directing once more. He goes a little more in-depth with what the story is about:<\/p>\n
“I’m currently writing a movie, it’s inspired by a vacation that I took with my grandmother when I was thirteen. She and I, we went to Jamaica and somehow ended up at a couples resort. She was also in the early stages of Alzheimer’s and passed later on.”<\/p>\n
When he was asked about the overall tone of this new movie, he said it wasn’t too far off from what we’ve seen so far in “50\/50.” “It’s in the same vein as “50\/50,” it’s dramatic and comedic, it’s all of that. One of my favorite movies is “Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore” and tonally it very much matches that film.”<\/p>\n
Will Reiser just won the Independent Spirit Award for Best First Screenplay and was nominated at this year’s Golden Globes for Best Picture – Comedy or Musical. “50\/50” is currently out on DVD and Blu-ray.<\/p>\n
