However, when Tarsem Singh is directing a film, you already know it&#8217;s going to be gorgeous; it&#8217;s the story that you really have to worry about. <\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rottentomatoes.com\/m\/mirror_mirror_2012\/\">Rotten Tomatoes<\/a>, &#8220;Mirror Mirror,&#8221; starring Julia Roberts and Lily Collins, has a terrible 49% rating. The audience hasn&#8217;t been much kinder, giving it a 53%. <\/p>\n<p>The critics felt that the jokes and story were flat, something the awesome costuming just couldn&#8217;t make up for. According to the site, the critical consensus is:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Like most of Tarsem Singh&#8217;s films, &#8216;Mirror Mirror&#8217; is undeniably beautiful &#8212; but its treatment of the age-old Snow White fable lacks enough depth or originality to set it apart from the countless other adaptations of the tale&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>However, just because the critics hated it doesn&#8217;t mean you have to.
