{"id":9166,"date":"2008-12-03T00:59:00","date_gmt":"2008-12-03T07:59:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shockya.com\/news\/?p=9166"},"modified":"2008-12-02T19:11:01","modified_gmt":"2008-12-03T02:11:01","slug":"zoolander-2-on-its-way","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.shockya.com\/news\/2008\/12\/03\/zoolander-2-on-its-way\/","title":{"rendered":"Zoolander 2 On Its Way"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Actor Ben Stiller has confirmed he is working on a sequel to his 2001 comedy <strong>Zoolander<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Stiller, who not only starred in but wrote and directed <strong>Zoolander<\/strong> as well, is in talks to get production rolling on a sequel but for the time being is just looking at scripts.<\/p>\n<p>The funnyman insists he has always wanted to complete the story of the clueless fashion model and is delighted that <strong>Zoolander 2<\/strong> is finally close to being made.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.shockya.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/zoolander_still.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Zoolander Movie Still\" width=\"287\" height=\"415\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9176\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.shockya.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/zoolander_still.jpg 287w, https:\/\/www.shockya.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/zoolander_still-207x300.jpg 207w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 287px) 100vw, 287px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The original film follows washed-up model Derek Zoolander on his road to reclaim his fame when he is brainwashed to kill the Prime Minister of Malaysia.<\/p>\n<p>Stiller says about the sequel, <em>&#8220;I&#8217;ve been trying to get <strong>Zoolander 2<\/strong> together and we&#8217;ve had a few scripts. I feel that is the sequel I really would like to do some day because I like the original and I would make sure it was something new and worthy of it first.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In addition to the news about the new <strong>Zoolander<\/strong> installment, Stiller also confirmed he is teaming up with Robert De Niro and cast for yet another addition to his successful<strong> Meet the Parents<\/strong> franchise.<\/p>\n<p>Another franchise Stiller is known for, <strong>Night at the Museum<\/strong>, will see its second film in theaters in May 2009.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Actor Ben Stiller has confirmed he is working on a sequel to his 2001 comedy Zoolander.
