Actress Mariska Hargitay has hinted she may be leaving “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” after nearly ten years to spend more time with her child.<\/p>\n
Hargitay, who started playing Detective Olivia Benson in the long-running TV drama in 1999, admits she’s missing out on family time and is thinking about leaving the show.<\/p>\n
She tells Ladies Home Journal<\/em>, “I just want to see my kid.”<\/p>\n Hargitay and husband Peter Hermann had a son, August, who was born in 2006 and the actress admits she and Hermann are trying to have a second child.<\/p>\n Aside from the show, Hargitay has played a police officer in guest spots on other “Law & Order” series, such as “Trial by Jury”, and in a few films, including the Lifetime Channel\u2019s Plain Truth<\/strong>.<\/p>\n She has been nominated five times for an Emmy, winning once in 2006, for her role in “SVU” and took home a Golden Globe in 2005 for the show as well.<\/p>\n Along with her role in “SVU”, she is known best for her roles in “Falcon Crest”, “ER” and Lake Placid<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Actress Mariska Hargitay has hinted she may be leaving “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” after nearly ten years to spend more time with her child.
