Cedillo was a movie extra who was injured back in 2010 after suffering injuries to the head when a stunt on the set of Transformers 3 went awry.  Said to be driving a car during an action scene, the young woman was struck when a car pulling another vehicle flew right through her windshield causing Cedillo to be life flighted and in need of emergency surgery.  The unfortunate episode has caused her to suffer permanent damage to her brain, partial paralysis and partial blindness.  After sustaining the injuries Cedillo was promised by the studio that her medical bills totaling $350k would be paid.  For sometime they were not until the studio decided it would be in their best interest.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at a news conference, Cedillo\u2019s lawyer, Todd Smith, shared that the lawsuit was to get care and justice for the Chicago woman.  \u201cUltimately, we would have been able to establish not only negligent conduct, but reckless conduct on the part of the studios. It was a failure on their part to take adequate care.  The ultimate outcome in this case was justice for Gabriela. She lost about a third of the top of her skull, and a large part of the right side of her brain.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Since the lawsuit and back and forth battle, Paramount has issued a statement to TMZ over the settlement.  &#8220;We are pleased that the Cedillo family has agreed to move forward with the settlement.
