Harry Potter star Rupert Grint who is known for his character Ron in the franchise has signed up for two new movie projects. The best friend of Harry will star in the drama flick entitled CBGB, a story that centers on the iconic New York city music club by the same name. The story comes from director Randall Miller with Grint on board as Cheetah Chrome of the punk band the Dead Boys. The group was well known for their gigs at the club. Alan Rickman, Professor Severus Snape of Harry Potter, will also star.<\/p>\n

Grint’s other role places him alongside Transformers actor Shia LaBeouf and True Blood star Evan Rachel Wood in the movie The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman. It isn’t clear who Grint will play in the film from director Fredrik Bond and chronicles LaBeouf’s character, a guy who “falls for a woman who’s claimed by a violent crime boss.” Since leaving the J.K. Rowling adapted movie series Grint (according to IMDb) has been working on several new projects. He is attached to Into the White, Postman Pat: The Movie – You Know You’re the One, The Drummer, Eddie the Eagle and the 2013 flick Cross Country from co-directors Paul Fielding and Timothy Fielding.<\/p>\n
