Maggie Q (“Mission: Impossible III”, “Rush Hour 2″, “Priest”) has been cast as the new “Nikita” in the CW’s new take on the original “La Femme Nikita”, the 1990 Luc Besson film. The character was first played by Anne Parillaud in Besson’s film, and then by Bridget Fonda in the 1993 US remake, which was titled “Point Of No Return”. Around this time of year is when the television networks usually announce which of their primetime shows have been renewed for another season, and which were left on the chopping board. AOL Television rounded up a list of shows that could have gone either way, according to Entertainment Weekly (EW), The Wrap and The Hollywood Reporter.
