Bloody Disgusting is reporting that “30 Days Of Night: Dark Days”, the sequel to 2007′s “30 Days of Night,” the 2007 adaptation of Steve Niles and Ben Templesmith’s vampire comic book, will begin shooting this October with Ben Ketai directing. “Dark Days” takes place in LA and will focus on Stella Oleson from the first “30 Days of Night” film, who along a group of vampire hunters, intentionally draw out the wandering vampiric horde of the first film in order to avenge the death of her husband Eben, played by Josh Hartnett, in the 2007 film. Dead Space Coming To The Big Screen

Variety is reporting that “Dead Space”, the hit Electronic Arts video game, is being developed as a full-length feature by director D.J. Caruso. The game follows the adventure of an engineer named Isaac Clarke who fights to survive on an interstellar mining ship against a mutating alien infestation that turns its victims into grotesque mutant monsters called Necromorphs. EA has already released a prequel comic book for “Dead Space” written by Antony Johnston and drawn by Ben Templesmith, as well as a prequel animated movie called “Dead Space: Downfall”, the first parts of what has been part of EA’s multi-media campaign for “Dead Space”. Welcome To Hoxford Picked Up For Adaptation

1492 Entertainment has picked up the rights to IDW Publishing’s “Welcome To Hoxford”, the horror comic book mini-series written and drawn by Ben Templesmith, best known for co-writing the vampiric “30 Days Of Night”, which was also been adapted for the film in 2007 starring Josh Hartnet and was directed by David Slade. First released in 2008, “Welcome To Hoxford” centers around a doctor, Dr. Jessica Ainley, and a deranged killer mental patient named Ray Delgado, who both find themselves trapped and fighting for their lives alongside other inmates at a private psychiatric institute, against a horde of bloodthirsty werewolves. 1492′s Chris Columbus plans to produce the adaptation, along with…
