1. Tell us a little about your background, where are you from and when did you decide that you wanted to become a filmmaker? I grew up in Crestline Ohio, a small railroad town. I became interest in the magic of movies at an early age watching late night horror hosts The Ghoul and Big Chuck and little John as well as the Sat. afternoon movies, which were always genre films. CHARDON, Ohio – August 10, 2007 – Midnight Syndicate Films, in partnership with Hollywood FX producer Robert Kurtzman (Wishmaster) and his company, Precinct 13 Entertainment, began production on “The Dead Matter” feature-length, horror-suspense film, this week, in Crestline, Ohio. Chardon, Ohio-based director and producer Edward Douglas – founder of the nationally-recognized Halloween horror music act Midnight Syndicate – is remaking his original version of the film into Northeast Ohio’s largest locally-produced and independently -funded film, scheduled for release in 2008.
