Danny Elfman to compose film scores for The Hunger Games, Oz: The Great and Powerful

Danny Elfman is going to be a busy man. According to The Daily Blam, the popular film composer is going to start work on the music of two of the big movies for next year–the film adaptation of “The Hunger Games” and the Wizard of Oz retelling “Oz: The Great and Powerful”. “The Hunger Games” score will be worked on in collaboration with T. Danny Elfman has confirmed exclusively for MTV News that he will be composing the music for Terminator: Salvation. Elfman added, saying that the original Terminator theme by composer Brad Fiedel was not in the film as of yet, nor is he sure about the fate of his own score: “I think if it comes up and it seems appropriate, we will [use it]. According to the folks over at Ain’t It Cool News, Oingo Boingo front man Danny Elfman perhaps best known for his work on Batman and The Nightmare Before Christmas with director Tim Burton has officially signed on with Universal Pictures to score “The Wolf Man” by director Joe Johnston and starring Benicio Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins (King Lear) and Emily Blunt.
