Joss Whedon announced on his blog, last night, that today will be the first day of production on the much anticipated “The Avengers”. This is “The Expendables” of comic book movies. Starting in 2008 when Marvel/Paramount released the original “Iron Man” and rebooted “The Incredible Hulk”, then talks began to release “Thor” and “Captain American” into theaters, all culminating to this magic moment, the production of “The Avengers”, which will be direct sequels to these films and follow the same mythology. “The Avengers” will also feature additional Marvel characters Hawkeye, Black Widow and Nick Fury. Marvel Television announced that Adrian Pasdar (“Heroes”, “Castle”, “Profit”)and Milo Ventimiglia (“Gilmore Girls”, “Rocky Balboa”, “Heroes”)will lend their voices to “Iron Man” and “Wolverine”, two new Marvel anime shows coming to G4.
