Blu-ray Release Of Pulp Fiction To Hit Stores October 4

For Quentin Tarantino fans who have been patiently (or impatiently) waiting on the Blu-ray release of one of Tarantino’s most iconic films, “Pulp Fiction,” the wait is finally over. “Pulp Fiction” will be on Blu-ray and in stores October 4. In celebration of the upcoming release, Lionsgate is putting together a trailer about the film. Daily Shock: Quentin Tarantino Sues Neighbor Over Exotic Birds

Quentin Tarantino is bringing his unusual flair for drama to the court room, as he is claiming his next door neighbor’s exotic birds are preventing him from penning scripts, www.tmz.com is reporting. The writer-director has filed a lawsuit in L.A. County Superior Court, saying his neighbor, ‘True Blood’ creator Alan Ball, has so many birds that emit “blood-curdling screams” that he can’t concentrate on his work. The ‘Kill Bill’ director is also saying that he personally tried to resolve the matter with Ball, who’s also known for winning an Academy Award for writing ‘American Beauty.’ However, Tarantino also claims that Ball doesn’t want to take down what the ‘Pulp Fiction’…

Disney Shuts Miramax Studios Down

Hollywood lost a once prominent movie-making company on January 28 when The Walt Disney Company shut down Miramax Films. Both the New York and Los Angeles offices were closed, and about 80 employees, including the division’s president, Daniel Battsek, were laid off. While Miramax had a dwindling number of dedicated employees in recent years, even at the Disney’s management headquarters in Burbank, the label announced that it will be retained by Disney and still release about three movies per year. Pulp Fiction screenwriter Roger Avary arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and DUI

Associated Press reported today that Roger Avary the Oscar-winning screenwriter of Quentin Tarantino’s “Pulp Fiction” and most recently “Beowulf” has been arrested today on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence in Ventura County. According to Captain Ross Bonfiglio a Ventura County sheriff, Roger Avary was involved in a single-car collision killing 34 year old Andreas Zini, and injuring his wife Gretchen who was ejected from the car upon impact. She is in stable condition. Roger Avary, a 42-year-old screenwriter and Ojai resident was released from jail on $50,000 bail.
