The Lost Angeles Times’ “Hero Complex” blog is reporting that reportedly there are rumors regarding the surety of Samuel L. Jackson’s role as superspy and SHIELD commander Nick Fury in upcoming Marvel Studios projects such as “Iron Man 2″ and “The Avengers”. Jackson said;

E! Online’s Ryan Seacrest talked to actress Eva Longoria during the red carpet run-up to the 2009 Golden Globes last, to talk to her about rumors regarding her appearing in the much-anticipated big-screen Marvel superhero team-up film, the film adaptation of “The Avengers.”
Longoria told Seacrest that the rumor regarding her being cast as Janet Van Dyne, aka the superheroine The Wasp, was “not true.” However, she did say that if the opportunity presented itself she would take the role.

The writers of the acclaimed summer smash of 2008, “Iron Man”, starring Robert Downey Jr, Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby, who are rumored to be also penning “Iron Man 2″, are agreeing with a statement made by “The Incredible Hulk” director Louis Leterrier about the future of Marvel Studio’s “Avengers” movie. Leterrier told MTV News back in June that the Avengers movie, tentatively predicted for 2011, should fall back on the classic Avengers origin story of fighting the Hulk.

Iron Man, The Hulk, Thor, Ant-Man and Captain America will be assembled in the latest big screen adaptation “The Avengers” to make quite possibly the highest impact Marvel Studios movie yet. Who will direct this big screen adaptation? Even though a Director has not been officially selected, director Jon Favreau (Iron Man) tells MTV that the film is “a great idea” and that he would consider directing the film.
